Eastern European, copper or brass, Tea glass holder 1930-1950.
Pair of brass Moroccan pots with inlaid decoration. Late 19th century 1880-1920. Moroccan or Egyptian, given the geometric patterns and the metal inlay technique. Such objects were often used for domestic purposes, such as storing spices or cosmetics, or as decorative vessels. The style of the inlaid patterns, particularly the diamond-shaped motifs, is consistent with Islamic art and craftsmanship, where figurative representations are rare and geometric and calligraphic designs predominate. The aesthetic suggests an origin in the Middle East or North Africa.
